The Containment Series
A more focussed attempt to examine the methodologies for capturing, retaining or loosing the living air we breathe. I have summarised this by describing these works as Solid air.
Systematically I have gone on to develop other sub themes namely:
Air as the lost commodity for future generations
Air as the trapped commodity by undefined objects
Air as the bartering object in a political sense.
The work is classically built in wood and metal with a traditionalist approach to the notion of “handcrafted with care”. It has relied on the excellence of the fittings to create the illusion of the abstract.
